If you’re not offering party add-ons to your quotes, we need to talk. Because let’s be real for a second: as party planners we love what we do, but we also love a business that actually makes money. That’s why I love putting add-ons on every quote. I’m talking about those “little extras” that upgrade your client’s party while boosting your profit with minimal extra effort.

Ready to level up your bookings? Here are the top 10 most profitable add-ons you should be offering right now!

1. Personalized Signage (Acrylic or Foam Board)

First impressions are everything! A custom welcome sign is the first thing guests see. Design a template once, get it printed and you’re done. The markup on custom-branded items is huge because it’s unique to their big day.

2. Wall or Station Party Add-On

Do you own a wall, bar or stand? Congratulations, you have a very profitable item in your inventory. There are endless options, like a drink station or a crafting station. You can charge a rental fee and a styling fee if you want to make it look pretty.

3. The Content Creator Package

In the age of TikTok and Reels, everyone wants that “behind-the-scenes” (BTS) footage. But nobody wants to be on their phone all night. If you’re already there, capturing raw clips on an iPhone is pure profit and the perfect add-on. You can edit the video and share it with your client.

4. Balloon Garland Upgrade

Balloons are the ultimate party transformer. While the balloons themselves are relatively cheap, you are charging for your design and installation. It is one of the highest markup items in the industry.

5. Custom Backdrop

Let’s be honest: if there isn’t a spot for the perfect photo, did the party even happen? Renting out a shimmer wall, neon sign or arched backdrop that you already own is almost 100% profit after just 2 or 3 bookings.

6. Personalized Party Favors

Most clients hate shopping for favors. By offering this party add-on, you’re saving them a massive headache. Buy items in bulk and charge per assembled bag. That convenience fee you’re charging? That’s where your profit lives.

7. Tablescape & Premium Linen Upgrade

Basic white tablecloths are a snooze. Velvet or printed runners instantly make a table look high-end. Linens are easy to store and reuse. A small styling fee per table adds up very quickly without much extra work.

8. The “Morning-After” Cleanup Service

The worst part of any party is the mess left behind. Clients will happily pay a premium to not deal with it. Sounds like a party add-on! You (or a hired helper) can do a cleanup fast, but the peace of mind you’re selling is worth a lot. This works best if you own an event location.

9. On-Site Party Host as Party Add-on

Sometimes a client just wants an extra hour of someone refilling drinks and coordinating the cake cutting so they can actually relax. Since you’re already on-site, charging a service package for coordination” or hosting is pure service profit.

10. Digital Mockups & Mood Board Fees

Your vision is your most valuable asset, so please don’t give it away for free! Charging for a mood board ensures you aren’t working for free during the inquiry phase. It builds huge value and keeps the client committed to your unique design.

What will you add to your next quote?

Adding these to your service list doesn’t just make you more money, it makes you a better planner. You’re anticipating your client’s needs before they even have to ask and you’re building a business that supports your lifestyle.
